The Edo State Internal Revenue Service (EIRS) led by its Executive Chairman, Chief Oseni Elamah has paid an on-the-spot assessment visit to Phill Hallmark recently razed by inferno with a promise to making necessary concessions which would make its business thrive again.

Speaking on behalf of his executive team members, Chief Elamah they were there to sympathize and empathize with the management of Phil Hallmark due to the colossal loss of goods and damage to its property stated that the Managing Director of the establishment was a good taxpayer who paid his taxes as and when due to government and as an employer of labour, made sure all those working under him got their taxes deducted and remitted within time.

Commending the efforts of the ownership of the shopping mall for keeping business afloat and selling to public in spite of the incidence, stated that government would not get revenue if people did not earn an income, especially if the opportunity was not created for them to earn income.

As a means of encouragement, the EIRS boss said the revenue service would support the Phill Hallmark in whatever way it could through granting of tax concessions under its laws as its own way of contributing to the success of an ardent taxpayer.

Managing Director of the Phill Hallmark, Mr. Philip Edigin, who put the level of damage of goods worth over N2b, commended the efforts of his workers who risked their lives to put out the fire and the goodwill of members of the public which had made him strong enough to open the doors to transact business just to render service to an appreciative public.
