Briefing newsmen after the exercise, the director, Tax Intelligence and Enforcement department, EIRS, Mr. Victor Okube, said ” the action became necessary as Times Ceramics Nigeria Limited has been operating for sometime in Edo State without fulfilling their tax obligations to the state as stipulated under the Personal Income Tax Act as amended”.

Mr. Okube further said the service of notice of non-compliance to Time Ceramics Nigeria Limited “was to serve as a deterrent to other defaulting companies/establishments operating within Edo State and to ensure they comply in their tax obligations especially when the state government is making great efforts at building road infrastructures as well as creating the enabling environment for business to thrive.”
