The Edo State Internal Revenue Service (EIRS) hereby announces the extension of the deadline for filing Annual PAYE (Employers) Tax Returns to February 14, 2026.
This extension from the statutory deadline of January 31st annually, is intended to provide employers with sufficient time to comply with the new provisions introduced by the recent tax legislation.
Employers should continue to use the official portal for filing annual tax returns at https://paye.eirs.gov.ng
All returns must be duly signed and stamped by the employer or an accredited tax agent.
Submissions must be in full compliance with Section 33 of the Nigerian Tax Administration Act (NTAA), 2025.
Please be advised that penalties for non-filing remain in effect and will be strictly enforced in accordance with Sections 127 (a), (b) and 101 (a), (b) of the NTAA.
