The Management of the Edo State Internal Revenue Service (EIRS) wishes to inform the general public and stakeholders of a significant leadership change designed to strengthen the Service and further improve Edo State’s revenue administration.
Following the recent government restructuring, approved by His Excellency, Senator Monday Okpebholo, the Executive Governor of Edo State, Mr. Odior John Osirenimhe has been appointed Chairman of the Edo State Internal Revenue Service (EIRS). Mr. Osirenimhe previously served as Chairman of the Edo State Audit Service Commission.
His appointment follows the resignation of Hon. Otunba Oladele Bankole-Balogun Esq., ACTI, who is stepping down to focus on his aspirations in the forthcoming elections.
As part of the wider redeployment, Hon. Idiake Patrick Akhimien, FCA, FCTI, who has been serving as an Executive Director at EIRS, will now move to lead the Edo State Audit Service Commission. He will be succeeded at the EIRS by Mr. Victor Oamen Enemare, who brings valuable experience and renewed energy to the role.
All appointments takes immediate effect.
Reacting to his resignation, Hon. Otunba Oladele Bankole-Balogun expressed appreciation to the Governor Monday Okpebholo for the opportunity to serve, noting:
“I remain profoundly grateful for the opportunity and honour to have served His Excellency, an exceptionally focused and result-driven leader, and to have contributed in my modest way to the progress and development of Edo State under his visionary leadership. I am inspired by His Excellency’s commitment to the people and the Renewed Hope for our state and nation.”
The Management of the EIRS assures taxpayers, stakeholders, and the general public that the Revenue Service remains fully committed to transparency, efficiency, and quality service delivery throughout this transition.
