The Edo State Internal Revenue Service (EIRS) says it has engaged the services of private legal practitioners in Edo State in a bid to recovering all outstanding tax liabilities from tax defaulters in the state.
This was contained in a statement signed by the EIRS Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Igbinidu Inneh, that the Service has collaborated with private legal practitioners in Edo State who are to work with the Law Officers of the EIRS to embark on vigorous prosecution of tax defaulters.
According to him: “In a bid to recover all outstanding tax liabilities from tax defaulters, we have engaged and collaborated with private legal practitioners in Edo State to work in alliance with Law Officers of the EIRS to embark on vigorous prosecution of tax defaulters”.
The EIRS boss further adviced the general public to avoid the consequences of prosecution, by paying up all outstanding tax liabilities owed Edo State Government.
