The Exectutive Chairman, Edo State Internal Revenue Service (EIRS), Chief Oseni Elamah has happed on the need for effective collaboration between the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) and the Nigeria Police, towards ensuring a harmonious/progressive society that is devoid of social vices.

Elamah stated this when he played host to the PCRC, New Benin Branch recently in Benin City.

The EIRS boss who noted that no society functions positively without the police, urged the PCRC to always ensure efficient alliance with security agencies if it must operate effectively.

He specifically praised the New Benin Branch of PCRC and the people for ensuring peace and unity in the community which he said has benefited immensely judging by the massive infrastructural development carried out in the area by the Governor Adams Oshiomhole’s led government in the state.

He assured the visitors of his agency’s collaboration towards moving the community forward.

The Chairman of PCRC New Benin Branch, Julius Abure Esq., had stated that the developmental history of Edo would not be complete without recourse to the revenue boss.

He acknowledged Chief Elamah’s imprint regarding the transformation of the revenue base in the state, saying that the feat prompted the (PCRC members) visit, with a view to identifying with him.

Stating further, he said Edo State is progressing courtesy of Chief Elamah’s innovation to drive the revenue system.

Asserting that the PCRC is a humanitarian body created by the Inspector General Of Police, with a view to bridging the gap between the police and the public, Barr Abure told the EIRS boss that his committee has recorded successes in that area by way of ensuring mutual relationship between the people and the police.

Highpoint of the visit was the presentation of certificate of honour/conferment of award of onour on Chief Elamah in recognition of his contributions to the police and humanity at large.
