The Acting Executive Chairman, Edo State Internal Revenue Service, Emmanuel Usoh has said that the present administration’s emphasis on good governance has reflected in increased revenue in the economic sector.
Barr. Emmanuel Usoh stated this when he played host to the management staff of Radio Nigeria Bronze FM 101.5 FM led by the General Manager, Mrs. Abimbola Oyetunde.
The EIRS acting boss, who acknowledged the organization’s arm of fellowship extended to the revenue agency drive, assured that his agency was ready to increase such partnership in view of raising the people’s consciousness on tax compliance in the state. Barr, Usoh who further stressed the need for a symbiotic relation between both organizations urged the team to do a formal correspondence to the EIRS with a view of deploying revenue officials to Bronze FM on the basis of capturing its staff for the biometric registration of Tax Identification Number (TIN).
The General Manager Bronze FM, Mrs. Abimbola Oyetunde, said her visit became imperative in view of strengthening the existing relationship between the EIRS and the Bronze FM before she was posted before her deployment to Edo State.
Noting the importance of tax payment which she viewed as a vital asset of government to ameliorate the peoples’ yearnings, Mrs Oyetunde said: “We as a station will continue to have you in mind and will continue to propagate your objectives.”
While underscoring the importance of TIN, Radio Nigeria GM sued for partnership, especially in the area of TIN registration for the staff.
