The Edo State Chapter Chairman, Association of Local Government of Nigerian (ALGON) and Chairman Oredo Local Government Council, Mr. Jekkings Osunde, has lauded the Edo Lottery initiative of Edo State Government and the innovative drive of the Edo State Internal Revenue Service headed by its Executive Chairman/CEO Mr. Igbinidu Inneh.

The ALGON Chairman made this known when he, alongside his counterpart Chairmen Mr. Eric Osayande, and Mr. Rex Benjamin Iyekeoretin both of Ikpoba Okha and Egor Local Government Councils respectively were taken on a familiarization tour of Edo Lottery facilities by it operators in Benin City, the Edo State capital.

Mr. Osunde who was visibly elated at the level of success achieved and preparedness made so far at ensuring the smooth take off of the Lottery outfit, promised to key into its scheme agency network and partnership distribution value chain to empower youths in his locality.

According to him “We will key into this channel by collaborating with Edo State Government and Edo State Internal Revenue Service to ensure that our youths are empowered through this channel and we encourage our people to go into this gaming business and explore it. It is a very wonderful concept which everybody must applaud.”

Also speaking, Mr. Igbinidu Inneh, Executive Chairman, EIRS, informed that Edo Lottery, is a State owned franchise and the first State owned run lottery outfit in Nigeria, which was conceptualized to bring job  opportunities, wealth creation and empowerment to the people of Edo State through active participation.
