Executive Chairman, Edo State Internal Revenue Service, Hon. Barr. Oladele Bankole -Balogun has commended the leadership and members of the Youth Council of Nigeria for their contribution to national development through its activities and programmes.
Hon. Bankole-Balogun, made the commendation during a courtesy visit by the leadership of National Youth Council of Nigeria Edo State Branch
During the visit, Hon Bankole-Balogun expressed the Revenue Service’s readiness to partner with the NYCN in order to reach a wide audience with the message of taxation which he noted is a civic duty and not a punishment. He stated: “when citizens pay their tax appropriately, government is empowered to judiciously put it to use and meet the needs of the people”.
He expressed enthusiasm towards the initiatives and collaboration of both organizations.
Earlier, the State Chairman NYCN Comrade Moses Agwinede, in company of other State executives of the Council who led a courtesy visit to the Executive Chairman of the Edo State Internal Revenue Service Hon. Barr. Oladele Bankole – Balogun, appreciated His Excellency Senator Monday Okpebholo the Executive Governor of Edo State on the appointment of Hon.Oladele Bankole-Balogun as a fit and proper personality who is able to drive the affairs of the EIRS. He stated that the State Internal Revenue Service is an important organization in the State’s development.
He intimated the Board Chairman of the Council’s plan to sustain the existing collaboration with the Government to ensure all round development adding that youths through their numerical strength make up a critical mass of the State’s population making them invaluable stakeholders.
