Executive Chairman, Edo State Internal Revenue Service Hon. Oladele Bankole-Balogun has revealed that the EIRS recorded over N10bn IGR collection in the month January2025.

Hon. Bankole-Balogun made the revelation when he paid a visit to the Edo State Commissioner of Police CP Betty Enekpen Isokpan Otimenyin, the 49th and first female Commissioner of Police of Edo State.

He said the feat was achieved under the leadership of His Excellency Senator Monday Okpebholo who has charged the new EIRS Board with a clear mandate of generating IGR for the developmental needs of the State in line with the five points agenda.

Hon. Bankole-Balogun therefore solicited for the support and partnership with the Police in sustaining the unprecedented record with a view to ensuring compliance and enforcement with the Tax Laws.

In her response, CP Betty Otimeyin appreciated the role of the Revenue Service in development of the State. She promised her command’s support and pernership with the EIRS leadership for sustainable IGR collection which she said is needed by all citizens.

Earlier Hon. Oladele Bankole-Balogun, also led the EIRS Board to the Office of the Director,  Department of State Security Service where he sued for the collaboration and support of the DSS Office for the Revenue Service operations and activities.
