Official activities at the Edo State Internal Revenue Service were temporarily paralyzed Monday following massive protest by Wood buyers and sellers in Edo State over alleged undue extortion by tax collectors operating under the State Internal Revenue Service.
The chairman of state internal revenue service immediately ordered the stoppage of such collections on the high ways pending investigation into the allegation.
